Todd Bishop is founding trustee of Blood Mountain (since 2010) and recently retired from his long-standing post as Senior Deputy Director of External Affairs at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Todd joined MoMA’s Finance Department in 1997, following an MA in Arts Administration (Columbia University, New York) and years of commercial experience at Austria’s Galerie Ropac and Galerie Krinzinger, and as the Owner-Director of the Boston-based independent exhibition space, Artkammer. At MoMA Todd was responsible for fundraising and corporate sponsorship, membership, affiliate and outreach programmes, special events, marketing, communications, graphic design and continued fundraising for MoMA PS1. He initiated unprecedented multi-year partnerships with global brands, including Volkswagen, Hyundai and Hanjin, as well as international outreach strategies integrating tourism and marketing initiatives with Mexico City and Berlin. In addition to Blood Mountain, Todd is a trustee of Performa, the New York Biennale of Performance Art, a former trustee of CEC Artslink and former founding director of the Pride Arts Festival in Boston.
Todd was Jade Niklai’s early career supervisor during her post at MoMA’s Department of Development and since continues to play a significant mentoring role.
