Art Performance and Public Workshop
Commissioned for the exhibition, The Big Invisible
Curated by Jade Niklai and Yasmine Ostendorf

Attendees of the exhibition opening were invited to collaborate with the artist to test locally sources tomatoes for the Pepino Mosaic Virus, which is commonly found on the surface of commercially sold tomatoes in Europe and eaten without the consumer’s awareness. While the virus has no impact on the human body, the artist challenges our negative reaction to the idea of ingesting a virus, and our misinformation about the virus’ purpose and use in our for chain and food industry.
