Biofaction

Biofaction is a Viennese firm for technological impact assessment and science communication. It acts as an intermediary between science, society, politics and art. Biofaction develops innovative communication and participation concepts in biotechnology, synthetic biology, and converging technologies. The assessment of the impact of new technologies on environment and society is just as much part of the enterprise’s agenda as the production of documentary films on scientific theme and an annual artist-in-residence, conducted with the science department at ETH, Zürich. Spearheaded by Markus Schmidt and Camillo Meinhart.
