The Showroom

The Showroom (est. 1983) is a public contemporary art space based in central London with a collaborative approach to artistic research and cultural production within its locality and beyond. It seeks to challenge the boundaries of what art can be, and how it can be a tool for a wide range of audiences. Its programme focuses on collaborative and process-driven approaches to realising artworks, exhibitions, events, discussions, publications, artistic knowledge and human relationships. The Showroom presents contemporary artists at a turning point in their career and works innovatively with individuals, organisations and their networks. The partnership with the Paddington Square Public Art Programme is conceived by Stella Ioannou and Jade Niklai at Lacuna, and realised with The Showroom’s curatorial team, including Elvira Dyangani Ose (former Artistic Director), Seema Manchanda (Managing Director) and Lily Hall (Curator). theshowroom.org
