Alexandra Blac

Alexandra Blac is a Melbourne-based conceptual designer-maker. She produces wearable objects under the label ‘Alexandra Blac Studio’ with return clients including musicians, Lauren Hill and Cyndi Lauper, alongside drag queen Trixie. Blac’s signature pieces begin as blocks of Lucite, which she shapes by hand to the desired form. The final acrylic forms take on the polished appearance of well-cut precious stones and reflect their surroundings with striking clarity. GAMUT at Useful Objects is Alexandra’s first exhibition of non-wearable, larger-scale objects and sculptures.
